This season NUEL has one British Champs Qualifier & two Swimmer’s Qualify for Swim England’s Summer Nationals!!!

The Club would like to send congratulations to Kameliya Stoimenova for qualifying for 50m breaststroke at British Championships which is being held week commencing 24th July at Sheffield; even though she is unfortunately unable to attend this event, it is a massive achievement to have qualified.
Kameliya has also qualified for Swim England’s Summer Nationals at Sheffield, the week commencing 1st August, where she will swim 100m breastroke on Wednesday 2nd August & 200m breaststroke on Thursday 3rd August. You will be able to watch and follow Kameliya’s progress at this event on the links below.  Again, this is no small achievement, so we just want to say “Well done,” on behalf of the coaches, committee and the rest of the Club and hope you do yourself proud at this event. The Club would also like to extend congratulations to Ethan Santos who has qualified for Swim England’s Summer National event which is being held at Sheffield the week commencing 1st August​. Ethan has qualified for the 50m backstroke and the 100m freestyle events, both of which he is due to swim on Friday 4th August. You will be able to watch and follow Ethan’s progress at this event on the links below. The coaching team, committee and the whole club just want to say “Well done, for your great achievement and hope you do yourself proud at this event”. Good Luck!

London Mini & Youth Games Teams
NUELSC provided the Borough of Newham with a team of swimmers to compete in the London Mini & Youth Games, which took place on Saturday 8th July at Crystal Palace National Sports Centre.
This year we finished 22nd overall for the Mini Team, 12th overall for the Boys’ Youth teams and 20th overall for the Girls’ Youth teams.
With some top 12 placings in the following individual events:
10th in the Mini Games Boys 50m Fly, which was swum by Steven Salazar
8th in the Mini Games Boys 50m Breastroke, swum by Rhys Panyandee
12th in the Senior Youth Boys 50m Freestyle, which was swum by Maksim Platonovs
12th in the Junior Youth Boys 50m Backstroke, swum by Donatas Dragasius
12th in the Senior Youth Boys 50m Backstroke, which was swum by Adam Harouma
1st in the Junior Youth Girls 50m Breaststroke, swum by Kameliya Stoimenova
We also had some top 12 placings for our relay teams in the following events:
10th in the Junior Youth Boys Medley Relay
8th in the Junior Youth Girls Medley Relay
10th in the Junior Boys Freestyle Relay
All swimmers that attended this meet either repeated their personal bests or achieved new PB’s.
